I don't know how to do it, but if you are seeing a sudden unexplained spike in traffic you might want to review your photos or files that you have available on your site. I used to work for an ISP dealing with customer service issues, and I had a customer with a HUGE spike in traffic because someone was linking to their photos on their server instead using their own photos. Just a thought.
