Got it off a PBS site. The Vietnamese Navy began producing a ferro-cement version of the Swift Boat in December 1969. Whereas the U.S. boat was aluminum, the Vietnamese made hull was fabricated from a steel frame interwoven with chicken wire that was then filled with cement. |
