Hi. I just stumbled on your website while looking for something else. What caught my attention is that you hike in New England with a Welsh Terrier. I have a four year old Welsh named Lauky. He is named after mount Mooselauke. He has climbed the NH 48 4000 footers 3 times including one office winter round. He was only the fifth dog ever to complete the winter 48. He is now half way through his fourth round.

Hi, Bruce. I see that Dickens and Fenster (I sort of remember that show, "I'm Dickens, He's Fenster"; were they a couple of house painters?) were born the same day the Old Man came down. That's quite a coincidence.


It was nice meeting you on the trails today. I drove right back home after my hike. My windshield was chipped when I first drove up to New Hampshire on Monday, and the crack had lengthened to about seven inches by Wednesday morning, so I figured I'd better get it repaired, and with the weather apparently turning for the worse, it seemed like a good time to come home.


I see that you live in Newfane. Years ago a friend and I drove there to visit a barn filled with old books and things. He wanted to buy some Life magazines. The establishment's name escapes me, but it was right on Route 30, just south of the common, I think, and the owner's name was Don Kent. I remember that for some reason.
