Ousman The Ferry Man jest lokalnym przewodnikiem turystycznym z własnym transportem ( Land Rover) który organizuje prywatne wycieczki po Gambii. Poznalismy Ousmana na plaży przy hotelu Kombo Beach w Kotu, gdzie ma on swój mały kiosk z którego operuje. Ma on wszystkie certyfikaty do prowadzenia dzialalnosci turystycznej ( zostały nam okazane). Ousman jest bardzo kulturalnym i miłym człowiekiem ze spora wiedza o kulturze i historii Gambii. Wycieczki z nim były bardzo przyjemne, czuliśmy się na nich komfortowo i byliśmy dobrze zaopiekowani. Ousman The Ferry Man is a local tour guide with his own transport (Land Rover) who organizes private tours around Gambia. We met Ousman on the beach at the Kombo Beach Hotel in Kotu, where he has his own small kiosk from which he operates. He has all the certificates to run a tourist business (they were shown to us). Ousman is a very cultured and nice man with a lot of knowledge about the culture and history of Gambia. The tours with him were very pleasant, we felt comfortable on them and we were well looked after. I recommend Ousman to everyone who wants to see a piece of the real Gambia. Justyna.

We went to Gambia in November 2024. I came into contact with Oesman through someone else. He immediately responded to my message via FB and then WhatsApp. He picked us up at the airport at night and so began our fantastic journey through Gambia with Ousman. He did what we wanted. He had a nice book with all the excursions and prices so that you knew where you stood. He is honest, reliable and knows how to find the most beautiful places. Definitely recommended and I thought Gambia once is enough but I will definitely go back again!

My daughter and I went on the Roots tour with Ousman. We found him to be very knowledgeable and a very attentive guide who we had total confidence in throughout the day. He is also a really nice, genuine man. He became a friend over our holiday. He is a family man trying to do the best for his family whilst promoting his country to tourists, allowing them to see and understand the real Gambia behind the big hotel facades.
It is hard to know who to trust when you are approached by people on the beach, but Ousman (The Ferryman) Ceesay is one of the good ones! We learned so much from him and recommend his tour company.

Spring Break, February 2022.

The preparation:
Going to The Gambia for the very first time.... Very exciting. Especially because I was traveling alone with my 15-year-old son.I didn\'t want to book standard excursions, but we wanted to discover the country, get in touch with the locals and experience real life with its culture and traditions. I communicated our wishes with Ousman via whatsapp. He is very reachable, speaks perfect English and responds quickly. And most important ... he empathizes with your wishes and gives advice. The stay in The Gambia
When we arrived in The Gambia, Ousman was already waiting for us in front of the hotel on the appointed day and time, so we could get on board immediately. During the excursions (we travelled with him for 3 different days) he told us a lot about his country, showed us many sights and you really noticed that he had prepared everything very well for us. We were also warmly welcomed by his family on his chicken farm and we enjoyed a real Gambian lunch. We also visited an nursery school. Even on the last days, after we had done the excursions you can still rely on him. He also volunteered to take us to the PCR test site at no additional cost. Overall, it was a fantastic experience. Even if you have been visiting The Gambia for years and would like a different experience than the standard excursions.

Voorjaarsvakantie, februari 2022.

De voorbereiding:
Voor de allereerste keer naar Gambia. Heel spannend. Vooral omdat ik met mijn zoon van 15 alleen ernaar toe ging. Ik wilde geen standaard excursies boeken, maar ik wilde graag het land ontdekken, met de locale bevolking in contact komen en het echte leven ervaren met de bijbehorende cultuur en tradities. Ik heb per whatsapp onze wensen afgestemd met Ousman. Hij is goed bereikbaar, spreekt perfect Engels en reageert snel. En nog belangrijker… hij leeft zich in in je wensen en geeft tips. Ook hadden we het bedrag al afgestemd met hem, zodat we niet voor verrassingen kwamen te staan.

In Gambia aangekomen stond Ousman al ruim op tijd op ons te wachten voor het hotel, zodat wij gelijk in konden stappen. Tijdens de excursies (wij zijn 3 dagen met hem onderweg geweest) vertelde hij veel over het land, liet ons ontzettend veel bezienswaardigheden zien en kon je merken dat hij alles tot in de puntjes goed voorbereid had. Ook zijn wij gastvrij ontvangen door zijn familie op zijn kippenboerderij en hebben wij genoten van een echte Gambiaanse lunch. Ook hebben wij een bezoek gebracht aan een basisschool. Zelfs op de laatste dagen, nadat wij de excursies hadden gedaan kan je nog bouwen op hem. Hij heeft ons kosteloos aangeboden om ons naar de PCR testlocatie te brengen. Al met al een fantastische ervaring. Ook als je al jaren in Gambia komt en een andere beleving wilt opdoen als de standaard excursies. Dank je wel Ousman voor je flexibilteit en je vakmanschap! Mede door jou hebben wij de vakantie van ons leven beleefd in Gambia!

Samen met Joost twee weken naar Gambia geweest en veel gedaan met Ousman & friends. Echt een te gekke vakantie gehad en ze doen daar werkelijk alles voor je. Ik wil echt iedereen aanbevelen om erheen te gaan. Ook alle trips hebben wij met Ousman gedaan en zijn kennis gaat verder dan die van de meeste reisleiders. Wij gaan zeker terug en nemen dan ��n koffer voor onszelf mee en ��n koffer voor onze vrienden.
